Do I have to be tech savvy to do this?
Not really; you just need to have a reliable internet connection and know how to use the comment features on Facebook and YouTube fairly proficiently (and know how to have two windows on your computer open at once).
Do I have to stay home to serve in this ministry?
Not necessarily. You can do this job from home, but if you want to attend in-person service and multi-task by moderating the online service, feel free. It’s been done!
How much time will I be spending on this ministry?
About 45 to 50 minutes once per month. Log in at least 5 minutes before the service starts, and moderate until it’s over. The online services tend to run about 30 to 40 minutes.
How do I know what to say (write)?
Greet and welcome guests as the service opens, and feel free to comment on ideas mentioned in the sermon as you wish. The ministry leader can provide you with the links (and even the wording if you’d like) to post in the comments at appropriate times during the online service.
